On abortion (simply a medical procedure)
Why is it that religions will bend the rules for war but not for a woman’s right to her own destiny? It’s ok to murder someone if you don’t like what they stand for, but it’s not ok to murder a bit of formulating cells that might become a person? (Ok murder is definitely the wrong word but look at the hypocrisy here people.....) I say might become a person because there are a lot of things that could happen besides an abortion that would cause that little bit of cells to NOT become a person, irregardless of what a woman may choose. And still I don’t understand why abortion is the ultimate crime, when in the name of whatever religion one chooses to be, it IS ok to murder people that have made it past birth, into this world, just because of a disagreement with their politics, religion, choice of garment…. You cannot justify killing people in the name of whatever, and be opposed to getting rid of them before they get here. Period. They are not of this world until they are breathing for themselves. First breath, first life. You have your beliefs and I have mine, and we have no right to force them on each other. Therefore…..I won’t make you have an abortion.
and before you call me a kid hater or evil.......what i see here on earth is the suffering of many, many little children. they are shuffled around, ignored, yelled at, beaten, and sometimes to death by their so called caretakers. Jesus said suffer the little children, or something to that effect (i'm an ex catholic, so give me a break)..... he saw the same treatment of them as is going on today... they are something beautiful and they bring the wonder back to our jaded little lives.... so my personal belief is that there should be great care taken in bringing one into this world...... we should be ready to care for them, listen to them, teach them, and learn from them. |
